Brand Love is not Enough

Brand Love is not Enough PDF Book Detail Author: Max Blackston
Publisher: Routledge
ISBN: 1351707310
Category : Business & Economics
Languages : en
Pages : 142

Book Description
How would you feel about a bank that handled all of your financial needs efficiently, but made you feel like a dummy? In a relationship between two people, what the other person thinks of you (or what you believe they think of you) exerts great influence on the quality of your relationship. The same is true for your relationship with brands. In this trailblazing book, Blackston extends his theory on consumer brand relationships introduced in the 1990s. He introduces a new construct called "brand's attitude," which complements the idea of brand image and introduces a typology of consumer relationships that is richer and more varied than the familiar concept of brand love. This construct describes more fully the two-way street that exists between consumers and brands, and fills a crucial gap in traditional branding literature in explaining consumers’ brand purchasing and usage behavior. Drawing on numerous actual examples and cases from a variety of different industries, and supported by 30 years of consumer data, Brand Love is not Enough should be on the shelf of any serious marketer or student of branding.

Love Is Not Enough Making Your Marriage Work

Love Is Not Enough Making Your Marriage Work PDF Book Detail Author: Steven Mendel
Publisher: Lulu.com
ISBN: 0557008735
Category : Marriage
Languages : en
Pages : 208

Book Description
"Love is not enough," is comprised of six sections, each building on the previous one. The first is an easy to complete and score survey that evaluates the reader's marriage. When the fissures in the marriage are exposed by the survey, they are related to the four basic ingredients of a successful marriage; intimacy, understanding, communication and change. The successful application of these four basic ingredients is necessary for any successful relationship. Fifteen principles of a successful marriage are demonstrated by different couples in therapy, as they struggle to incorporate one of the four basic ingredients in their relationship. The next section describes common obstacles that frequently impede a successful marriage. This is followed by proven techniques I have utilized in my practice that couples will be able use on their own. The final section is the same survey taken at the beginning, so the reader can evaluate their progress.

It was hard writing this book because it brought tears, laughter, and most of all healing. When I was a child, I wanted to be like my mother. I wanted to cook and clean like her. One morning, my whole life change in an instant. Putting on my mother’s clothes and prancing around the house, I wanted to cook just like mama. When I opened the door of the stove, I stuck a stick inside and played with the fire. Somehow, my clothes caught fire. My life just didn’t get any better after that day.

Emotionally Disturbed

Emotionally Disturbed PDF Book Detail Author: Deborah Blythe Doroshow
Publisher:
ISBN: 022662143X
Category : History
Languages : en
Pages : 344

Book Description
Before the 1940s, children in the United States with severe emotional difficulties would have had few options for care. The first option was usually a child guidance clinic within the community, but they might also have been placed in a state mental hospital or asylum, an institution for the so-called feebleminded, or a training school for delinquent children. Starting in the 1930s, however, more specialized institutions began to open all over the country. Staff members at these residential treatment centers shared a commitment to helping children who could not be managed at home. They adopted an integrated approach to treatment, employing talk therapy, schooling, and other activities in the context of a therapeutic environment. Emotionally Disturbed is the first work to examine not only the history of residential treatment but also the history of seriously mentally ill children in the United States. As residential treatment centers emerged as new spaces with a fresh therapeutic perspective, a new kind of person became visible--the emotionally disturbed child. Residential treatment centers and the people who worked there built physical and conceptual structures that identified a population of children who were alike in distinctive ways. Emotional disturbance became a diagnosis, a policy problem, and a statement about the troubled state of postwar society. But in the late twentieth century, Americans went from pouring private and public funds into the care of troubled children to abandoning them almost completely. Charting the decline of residential treatment centers in favor of domestic care-based models in the 1980s and 1990s, this history is a must-read for those wishing to understand how our current child mental health system came to be.
